Who we support.


At the moment we support seven children from poor Sherpa families. These children are bright and enjoy going to school. Because they can now go to school every day they have a better chance of getting good marks and maybe even go to college later on.

All the children live in and around Lukla, a small village at the beginning of the Khumbu Valley, where many Treks and Expeditions towards Mt. Everest start off.


In numbers...


For only € 20.- a child can go to school regularly and the family gets money to support themselves for a month.


This means for only € 250.- a family can educate their child for a year.

  1. •We start the project with five children.

  1. •We added two further children.

  1. •In total we now support 10 children.


2010

  1. •Another two children are added to the project.


2011

  1. •We decide not to add any further children and concentrate on the 12 we have been supporting.


2012

  1. •We supported the same 12 children.
